It’s a proven fact that workout and diet plays an important part in the process of achieving a fit body. However, these workout and diet plans can turn out to be troublesome for many of us. Going through a hectic working day and that too on a strict diet may hamper your productivity and those workout hours become the most dreading moments of your day.
So, is it possible to lose weight without a workout or a diet plan? Yes, it is! And the icing on the cake is, that you can control your weight by just following these steps. However, we suggest you to do the least amount of exercise you can do and that doesn’t mean running on a treadmill at high speed or any other cardio workout.
Just do what you can and if you can, because it will further help to increase the effect of the following alternatives.
1. Chew more before swallowing.
Your brain and body need time to know that you have eaten enough. The more you chew the more will be the satisfaction levels. How fast you eat your food has a huge impact on your weight because if you are enjoying every bite then your taste buds and that belly of yours will tend to satisfy you more.
However, it may be tough to invest so much of your time in time in eating and the best thing to start this practice is by counting every time you chew.
2. Use Smaller Plates for Unhealthy Food.
If you are anything like me, you tend to stop eating when your platter gets empty because filling it again with food needs time. (A little, but it does)
So try to use small plates for unhealthy food and you will automatically eat less, decreasing your calorie intake simultaneously.
3. Drink a Glass of water before every meal.
It’s a proven fact that water helps a human body in many ways, keeping your weight in check being one of them.
Studies have proved that drinking a pint of water, half an hour before a meal, reduces hunger and you end up eating less. If you further replace your soda and juice intake with water, no one can stop you from losing those extra pounds on your body.
4. Avoid Electronic Distractions.
Nowadays, everybody, in some way or another is dependent on technology for going through a day smoothly. Slowing and gradually, we are shifting our focus on these devices, losing track of what we are eating meanwhile.
According to a study, people who use phones or watch TV while eating, end up eating 10% more than they need and further intake 25% more calories in the subsequent meal due to a low level of satisfaction.
So you need to know how much and what you are eating.
5. Sleep Well and Avoid Stress.
While we are asleep, our mind still works and burns some calories too. Further, if we sleep less, our stomach craves for more food and that too the unhealthy ones.
Also, Poor sleep and excess stress may disrupt the levels of several important appetite-regulating hormones, causing you to eat more.
So, stop stressing and take a good nap. This is one of the easiest ways to lose weight.
These are the 5 proven alternatives to workouts and diets, plus it is advised that you follow these steps one by one and do not incorporate them in your life in one go.
If one works well and you can sustain it then try another one. Nothing Big Is Achieved In one Day.
