5 Struggles That Every Girl Go Through If She Is Not Fat Or Skinny!
Hola People! Since childhood, my parents taught me to embrace my body as it is, be comfortable in my own skin and to love it beyond all the perfections and imperfections. Well, all these sounds accurate and justified but let me tell you the truth. It made my life worse as soon as I stepped into the horrifying world because it turns out that what my parents taught me wasn’t suitable for our society. I was never prepared to tackle the judgment and labeling but that didn’t stop people.
Now, there is another twist in the story, I realized that people love labeling but my body type made it difficult for them to label me. I am a grown up girl now and no, I am not Fat or Skinny. I am someone who falls in the grey area between White Skinny and Black Fat. I don’t fit in either of the labeled categories for girls but I am not immune to the struggles, comments, and suggestions that people put me through because of my Body type.
While some skinny girls love that I have more kgs that make them look even skinnier, Fat girls hate me because for them I am sort of thin. Females who belongs to the designated labels (Skinny and fat) think that all the complications are in their fate as my body type is the most secure body type but, NEWS FLASH that’s not true. And believe me, I know that there are millions of girls who are just like me and we all go through a lot just because we have no idea where do we fit in.
Here Is The List Of 5 Such Struggles That Make Our Life Way Too Difficult Than People Think.
1. Finding The Perfect Jeans Is Just Like Finding The Cup Of Triwizard Tournament.
Ahh! The sizes are never permanent, we can never tell what size we wear because it always varies. Our weight fluctuations make it impossible to find a perfect jeans and it is so frequent that you may find us wearing different size every second week. Does That Sound Easy To You?
2. Labeling Never Gets Over!
Just because people find it unbearably difficult to label us they never stop trying. It’s obvious that they can’t call us fat or skinny, so they keep calling us by different names Averagish, healthy, not too fat, and the list goes on and on. Do you think it’s easy to have the same conversation about your body over and over?
3. Forget About A Standard Body Type.
There are four standard body types: Apple, pear, hourglass or rectangle but, none of them suits us. yes, none of them. I mean our weight is so inappropriately distributed that we can’t decide which one is for us. May be people need to introduce new body types for us as well.
4. Online Shopping Is Just Not Meant For Us.
We can’t shop online because we don’t know if the size mentioned in the chart would fit us or not. If we could pull that dress off, or it will be tight on our butts or will it be hanging from shoulders,… Arrrggghhhh…. It’s frustrating.
5. The Insecurity Never Ends.
No matter how much we try to avoid the humiliation and comments, the insecurity always stays in our heart because we know, despite all the intellectual lectures over love your body, everyone is judging us.
If you are just like me who is struggling to fit in the world of labels, then do write your views about this article in the comment section below. Also, let me know if you want any other important point that I may have missed in the list.
