Do and don’ts of exercising are key to an effective weight loss. While your trainer keeps on sharing the dos somewhere among all that excitement you tend to forget the things you should absolutely not do before going to gym.
What is the point of following an exercising regime religiously when you actually are making mistakes that are not only hindering your weight loss but also making a bad impact on your health? These silly small things seem unimportant that is why most of tend to forget them or avoid easily, however if you are smart enough, you would rather stop making them.
Here are some things you should never do before exercising.
1. Drink A Lot Of Water.
Do you know that all that excessive H20 can cause cramps, nausea, and hyponatremia? Yes, it’s not as good as you thought. It’s important to keep your body hydrated but more than 2 glass of water will actually make you feel energyless and weak. It will also drop your sodium ion level. So stop gulping an entire bottle of water.
2. Eat Before Exercising.
When you eat right before you exercise, your body doesn’t get enough time to digest the food. You can actually vomit. If your food was spicy, there is a good chance that you will experience acid reflux or heartburn while working out. So save your meals for afterward so that you can give your body the much-needed nutrition.
3. Swallow A Painkiller.
Don’t be all confused. Painkillers are actually muscle relaxants so taking them right before you hit gym won’t benefit on your session. Some reports suggest that if that painkiller is anti-inflammatory it can cause an injury to your small intestine. It sounds scary, isn’t it?
4. Drink Alcohol
If you think that having a glass of wine or two before a few hours is okay then you are missing the whole point. Alcohol in any form should not be consumed before workout as it lowers blood-sugar levels which cause dehydration. It also makes you feel dizzy and weak.
Isn’t it important to know what not to do? If you want to get the best results you should avoid doing these things before exercising or hitting gym. It’s better to do it the right way.
