The movie starts when 4 magicians or Illusionist, talented but down on their luck, are called to a secret meeting in an abandoned apartment. After a year, they appear as a team of Illusionists called The Four Horsemen led by a magician named Atlas.
The Four Horsemen operate a bank heist in Paris while being on the live stage show in America and reward the audience with the looted money, after that they rob their own sponsor, a corrupt businessman. All these robberies draw the attention of the FBI and enter Interpol detective Dylan Rhodes. Rest all seems magic but the logic and reason behind it will blow your mind. The movie has a sequel and it’s as promising as its predecessor.
5. Ittefaq (2017)
Ok, this has to be on this list, as it is one of the most underrated mystery/crime thriller from Bollywood. The movie didn’t do very well on the box-office but was acclaimed by the critics (and also has much higher ratings than various other commercial Bollywood movies). The movie starts when an NRI writer Vikram became a prime suspect in the murder of his wife on the night of the launch of his book.
Vikram flees in his car when the cops approach him only to find himself in the home of a young housewife Maya whose lawyer husband was also killed. Police officer Dev finds Vikram lying unconscious next to the dead body of Maya’s husband. Now Dev has to find the truth between the two conflicting stories and catch the real culprit.
