Filmmaker Max Lanman decided to film an advertisement in order to help out her girlfriend to sell her used car. Something that has been a dear companion to her girlfriend for a long time now was initially being sold for $499 and he was certain to bring the spotlight on it.
Lanman created an advertisement which is nothing short of a piece of art. With aerial shots, great storyline and amazing narration, the advertisement was ready for the world to see. However, this small advertisement got so big on the Internet in mere 5 days that the bidding price of the car jumped from $499 to freaking $150,000, on eBay.
According to the filmmaker, who posted an update in a comment on YouTube, eBay’s fraud department couldn’t believe the huge amount of money that was being offered for the car and mistakenly cancelled the auction. “eBay cancelled the original auction and asked us to start over. We have restarted the auction back at its original starting price of $499,” Lanman wrote.

The current bid for the car stands at some $1700 which is a huge divergence from $150,000, but no one knows what could happen in the coming days. In the end, we learned that apparently, one can actually be too good at their job.
