OnePlus 5 is one smartphone that almost everyone is waiting for and especially those who don’t have the pocket for buying other high-end devices like Samsung Galaxy S8 and Apple iPhones. Their anticipation is backed by the recent success of OnePlus 3T which took the premium mid-budget segment by storm.
OnePlus 5, on the other hand, is expected to take this game to another level and give its competitor a run for their money. What’s even more interesting is the fact that there will be no OnePlus 4 and the Chinese manufacturer has decided to jump to the next number as the No.4 is considered unlucky in China. However, OnePlus 5 is also expected to take a leap when it comes to class leading features and considering the recent rumors, it might have been successful in doing so.
OnePlus 5 was recently listed on Oppomart but was not unveiled by the company itself, however, we are loving the very fact that this almost certain rumor emerged. According to this listing, OnePlus 5 will come with a plethora of performance under the hood as well as a great multimedia package.
OnePlus 5 Expected Specifications
- 5.5 inch (2560 x 1440) Quad HD AMOLED display with 534 PPI and Gorilla Glass Protection
- 2.45 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with Adreno 540 GPU
- 6GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB / 128GB UFS 2.1 internal storage, expandable via microSD
- Android 7.0 Nougat with Oxygen OS based UI on top
- Dual 12+12MP camera at the rear with PDAF and LED Flash
- 8MP front camera for selfies
- Fingerprint Scanner at the front
- 3,850mAh battery with Dash Charge 2.0 technology
- 4G LTE and dual-SIM card support
These leaks mean that OnePlus 5 will not be launched with 8GB of RAM as earlier leaks suggested but 6GB RAM also feels quite real when it comes to the next flagship killer. Moreover, since this leak suggest that the fingerprint scanner will be placed at the front, this means that OnePlus 5 will not bear an all glass front and will certainly not be an edge-to-edge display. Moreover, just like OnePlus 3T, it will have a nearly bezel-less design which is acceptable considering the price.
