When cigarettes were first introduced in the market, they were marketed as some drug that helps you calm down and makes you look cool. Soon everyone was smoking cigarettes at all times, and then the real news broke down about how cigarettes are costing one their life and are a serious health hazard, not just for the person smoking them but also for someone around them.

Though the consumption has heavily reduced among the people, it hasn’t completely diminished yet, and there are still a ton of people who continue to smoke every day. Some even exceed the limit by staggering numbers, like one or two packs a day.

And, while everyone wants to quit them, one just can’t due to the addiction that they’ve generated towards them. However, sometimes, one doesn’t need the willpower to end bad habits but the fear of being killed by them, to actually part ways. And, this video will exactly show one why they should absolutely quit smoking this very instance. Not only is it costing you your health and appearance but also your body in the long run.

Shared by North Carolina based nurse Amanda Eller, two videos show the stark difference. The first video displays the lungs of a smoker while the second one shows healthy lungs. Eller demonstrated the difference between the lungs by pumping air in the two one after another. Captioned, “Cancerous, 1 pack per day for 20 years lungs 😳 versus healthy lungs. Still wanna smoke?” the video has gone viral after it was posted on April 23 and has been shared over 5 lakh times.’

Cancerous, 1 pack per day for 20 years lungs 😳 versus heathy lungs. Still wanna smoke?

One just can’t take the visuals out of their mind, of the smoker’s lungs and gross the entire thing is and how it fails at doing the job they are made to do. We need to understand that running and exercising and eating healthy is never not enough to keep one healthy and going, you need to quit the bad habits to maintain the health. Because no one would want to live or die with lungs like those.
