Being a woman is too much of a work, and then being a bride in a wedding is a different story altogether. You don’t just have to prepare for the D-Day, there are pre-wedding functions and post-wedding functions that you’ve to prepare for. From clothes to hair to makeup to skincare, everything needs to be on-point and requires constant attention. There are parlour runs and then re-runs that one need to start doing, six months prior to the event for the maximum amount of result.
So, today I would be spreading out a list of essentials that one needs to have in makeup department for the best looks and best outcomes. While you can go for something under budget, I would advise you to go for something much more professional and trusted. While they might be a bit costly than your regular products, you’ve to keep in mind that it is one of the biggest days in your life and you don’t want an unwanted zit or a pimple to pop up, due to some cheap brand that you tried.
These are some of the things that you should always remember to keep in your trousseau.
Make skincare your best friend, because no matter how much makeup you’re going to apply on your skin, a good skin would always shine much brighter, plus it saves a lot of concealer and struggles
1. Cleanser
2. Toner
3. Moisturiser
4. Sunscreen
Always keep these products handy as they’re going to help you a lot. Trust me, a lot.
Primers: Always use a primer before applying the makeup, as it acts as a barrier between the chemicals in makeup and your skin. It also affects the longevity of the makeup as well as keeps the moisture of your skin locked in. Primers also result in a much smoother application of the makeup and act as a perfect base.
BB/CC Creams: BB/CC creams are great alternative for those who do not like to apply a lot of foundation and like their skin to breathe without any problem.
*keep in mind, to not use something which would flash back during the photography sessions, or you might end up looking like a ghost.
Foundations: Foundations are said to be one of the most important and essential product in your makeup, as it helps in evening out the skin.
Concealers: Concealers are best for when you want to cover-up those deadly dark circles, due to all the sleepless nights and stress. It is also a life saviour for hiding up those pimples and unwanted marks.
Compacts: Compacts are great for two main things: One, they help you in achieving a much more airbrushed kind of a skin, and two, for eliminating any kind of sweat on your face while it also even outs your skin. You can also go for blotting compacts, which do not have any colour and work on mattifying your face.
Eye Makeup: Now, your eye makeup regime consists of many things: eyeshadows, eyeliner, mascara and please incorporate your eyebrow routine in this too, because there is a reason that eyebrows have to be on fleek now. For eyeshadows, always go for colours that would compliment your eye colour and at the same time your outfit too.
Highlighter: Highlighting is a new trend that has been followed by people all around the world. The entire process of highlighting the high points of your face is called Strobing. It helps you in achieving that dewy finish to your face that glimmers in all the right places.
Blush: Bring the rosy cheeks to the yard, and some colour to your face. Blushes are really great for getting that kinda natural hint to your face, it’s always a good option to go for.
Lip balms: Always keep a lip balm handy, it the secret to soft, pink and hydrated lips. Lip balms also act as sunscreen for your lips and stop them from turning black.
Lipstick: Organic Lipsticks are one of the most important makeup steps in your getting ready routine. Without a lipstick, it almost feels as if something is missing from the face, it can make or break the entire game.
Now, these items can be helpful for you or for any of your best friend or sister, who’s going to get married soon. Each and every product has a crucial role in their own terms, however, the entire selection process depends on you. If you don’t want to use something, then don’t do, don’t stress about things, and always keep in mind that a happy bride is a beautiful bride.
