On Late Monday night, militants attacked a police training centre in Quetta, Balochistan. The Quetta terror attack, commenced at around 11:10 pm, and till now resulted in 60 deaths and 118 injuries of police cadets and other officials present in the academy. However, the entire motive of the attack in police academy is still unclear among the officials.
According to General Sher Afgun, a top military commander in Balochistan, the attack was been carried out by the sectarian militant group, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. This is an outcome of the calls, that interrupted between the attackers and their handlers. Lashkar-e-Jhangvi has a varied history of carrying out parochial attacks in Balochistan, majorly on the Hazara Shia minority. The group is functioning from the central Punjab province.
The entire operation of saving the people present in the academy lasted for 5 hours and was carried out by Military, Para-Military and Police personnel. Five to six gunmen are said to be behind this internecion and attacked the dormitory.
Two similar attacks like this had been executed in August this year, which left 88 killed from the hospital and from a reputed lawyer’s funeral in Quetta.
