In India where women are associated with words like soft, shy and weak, not every woman is a victim. On 17 September at 3 am Mumbai police arrested a 25-year-old woman, Sunita Yadav, a receptionist at a hotel in suburban Parel. She was taken to the police station following a complaint by a local restaurant, where she had created a nuisance, and she also misbehaved with the taxi driver she hired in a drunken state.
At 3 am in the morning, she created a ruckus in the influence of alcohol. She threatened cops and yelled at them. She said “ Haryana ki hu mai, Yaad rakhna kal subah tak kya anjaam hoga” with a liquor bottle in hand.

She was allowed to roam freely and consume alcohol inside the police station. After some tragic story telling and weeping she was released in the morning after a fine of just 1200 Rs.
Well, this women definitely got off too easily. Had it been a man the media, police and the entire nation would have treated him like a person who committed a sin. They would have made his life hell by boycotting him and depriving him of his self-respect. Ripping him off his identity.
Any Purush Mukti Morcha is listening or should we start running campaigns for men inequalities.
Incidents like this and Jasleen Kaur demands strong Purush Mukti Morcha’s to bridge the gap of gender inequality.
