1. Three Labourers killed in Akhnoor Terror Attack.
7 am on Monday morning, terrorists attacked the General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF) camp in Akhnoor district of Jammu and Kashmir. Three on-site labourers were killed in the attack. A senior police officer said they have isolated the nearby area and a counter operation has started.

Banks all over India are asked by the Finance Ministry to report all cash deposits in the savings account between April 1 to November 9. All bank account holders who have not provided PAN card or Form 60 before opening their accounts, will have to deposit them by 28th February.

Petrol pump owners have deferred their decision to not accept card payments till 13th January after the banks decided to waive off Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) till the said date. Earlier the owners had decided to not accept credit and debit cards from Monday in order to protest for the MDR being charged from them.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will release Congress manifesto for Punjab elections, today. The manifesto will be released at Congress party’s headquarter and in the presence of top leaders from the state.
5. Power Minister will reveal the largest street light replacement programme.
Power Minister Piyush Goyal is all set to unveil World’s largest street light replacement programme on Monday in South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) area. According to his programme, about 2 Lakh LED lights will replace inefficient lamps.
