Intex Elyt Dual has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 6,999 and while many won’t even give a quick glance to an Intex-device in presence of Xiaomi’s VFM series, there is one thing from which the Intex Elyt Dual can definitely gather some respectable sales numbers. No, it’s not a bezel-less device, neither the company has managed to infuse an SD 835 chipset at this price tag, but it does come with a dual front camera setup which is a never seen feature in the entry-level segment.
For the unknown, Xiaomi Redmi Y1 and Karbonn K9 Smart Selfie are also marketed as selfie-focused smartphones in the sub-Rs 7000 segment but neither of the handsets offers a dual camera setup.
Moreover, Intex Elyt Dual offers stock Android Nougat which is again a USP in this competition, but is it enough to compete with the Redmi Y1, Nokia 2, Comio C2 and Moto C? Let’s See!!

Intex Elyt Dual Review
While there is nothing to complain in the camera department and Intex Elyt Dual is indeed the best selfie-focused smartphone in this category, it fails to deliver in the performance department as the Spreadtrum (SC9850) processor is just not enough for heavy gaming. Moreover, while multitasking with heavy apps, users will witness some lags, although the overall experience being just below the benchmarks.
On the other hand, the 5-inch display offers great color production and viewing angles but brightness levels under direct sunlight are not up to the mark.
To conclude our Intex Elyt Dual review, we would like to say that the handset is definitely the most appreciated offering from Intex, however, when it comes to the overall package, Redmi Y1 is still the winner.
