“Tom Hanks tests positive for Coronavirus!”
Not true, right? Someone is surely joking. Isn’t it? If anyone ever told you that the aforementioned was some sort of news, then would you have believed it? But, yes, believe it or not, this is what has happened and is absolutely true:
These lines are reverberating around the world from the contours of news to the arena of breaking developments from around the world.
And you can take it for granted that this is not some weird statement or a bumper sticker expression that, believe it or not, not even the worst human being (ever born on earth) would wish to have for a man as gentle as kind as Tom Hanks.
And therefore, what has frankly caught the attention of the world, the news slated to impact not just the movie-going world strictly, but the larger canvass of entertainment can only be described as horrific.
But that said the sad part really is that Tom Hanks, who’s already 63, isn’t the only one in his family to have contracted the virus, that we know is proving to be rather dangerous with countless cases having already been reported from around the world leading to fatality.
What’s shocking is that even Rita Wilson, Tom’s partner, and former actress has got the Coronavirus too. The couple, it is being said, tested positive for the virus when they were down in Australia, according to sources.
Shortly after the news broke through, the development evoking a shocker among fans- Tom Hanks tests positive for Coronavirus- this is what the famous Forest Gump and Philadelphia actor, a two-time Academy Award-winner had to say on his social media account:
“Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.
Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?
We’ll keep the world posted and updated.
That said, ever kind and loving that he is, Tom Hanks completed his message by saying, “take care of yourselves,” addressing fans.
It’s needless to say that at this point in time, the best that the actor can do for himself and for the sake of his loving wife is to strictly follow the course of medication and (take as much) rest as far as possible.
Tom Hanks, for all his acting might, ingenuity, and the power of simplicity with which he’s led his life all these years, has been more than just a famous Hollywood actor; he’s a legend in the true sense of the word. Someone who’s inspired lives around as much as he is admired.
The world, needless to say, needs quality examples of fine human beings like his good self; individuals, who, at a time where they could’ve just needlessly engaged in myopic commercial cinema aiming to just profit from soapy, dreary movies, opted to cater to sensibilities, putting energies in bringing true stories to life- such as HBO’s Band of Brothers.
Ever fascinated by space, Tom Hanks even produced the 12-part mini-series “From The Earth To The Moon”, the telling story of the landmark Apollo mission, another instance of his penchant to cater to informative stories that, in part, reflect the achievements of the mighty United States.
We wish Rita Wilson and the man who once famously said, “May you live as long as you want and not want as long as you live,” all the very best and happy, speedy recovery! Get well soon, sir!
