Are you a Harry Potter fanatic? Do you try to spot the magical wonderland in each and every direction you look at? If yes, Then meet these guys, Sumukha Javagal, Rajashree Khalap and Javed Ahmed, because you might want to add them if your Harry Potter fan club.
These three are Mumbai-based scientists, who encountered a rare and new species of spider in the Kans forest in Karnataka.
For them, the spider resembled the Sorting Hat from J K Rowling’s most popular Harry Potter series and belonged to Godric Gryffindor (one of the founding members of Hogwarts School). Due to this, they named this 7mm creature Eriovixia Gryffindori and published their discovery in the Indian Journal of Arachnology.
They even tweeted their finding to J K Rowling, which she, later on, retweeted along with her congratulation to the scientists.
.@curiocritters I'm truly honoured! Congratulations on discovering another #FantasticBeast! 👉🕷✨ pic.twitter.com/NJ4Fe27F1r
