The world’s favourite fast-food joint just announced an encouraging bit of news for the vegetarians among us and it is something that might leave them with a green, leafy smile.
McDonald’s just announced that its first pure vegetarian burger is now sort of becoming a permanent menu option beginning from the Nordic markets- Norway, Sweden, Finland and others.
In the course of the world constantly debating the benefits of turning vegan, fast-food outlets too- that basically run on the ideation of snacky, junk, filling diets have been ushering in the idea of green food; snacky yet palatable snacks. Perhaps that is why one sees McDonald’s hot new product- the McVegan- finding interesting new markets such as the Nordic countries of Finland and Sweden.
According to reports from the mega fast food giant, from the 28th of December, 2017, McDonald’s plans to include the McVegan as a permanent offering in the outlets’ menu in both vital Nordic territories as a part of an attempt to widen its appeal across Europe.
Here’s what is known about the new McVegan burger. It is going to be moderately spicy and is utterly a soy-based creation that is being produced in part of an effort to cater to a wider set of customers. It is rather interesting to know the effort being to produce the patty of the burger- the core essential when enjoying something as tantalising as a burger, being produced by Anamma, a Swedish food producer.
McDonald’s has confirmed the said development also adding that a formal press release shall be announced anytime before 28 December, 2017. But while other countries and fans of McDonald’s might have already started getting restless about wanting to the try the exquisite new vegan burger, it isn’t quite known if the new product will be launched in other demographics just yet.
Stating its brand new ambition, spokespersons from McDonald’s confirm the brand’s desire to cater to something that all of its 400,000 guests that visit its outlets on an everyday basis can enjoy. After all, soy isn’t something that anyone would mind, more so because of its health-related benefits. Then, it being the base of a McDonald’s item can only make things mouth-watering and something to look forward to.
