Another attack in Iraq shook the faith on humanity as at least 12 people were killed in a suicide car bomb attack. On Monday, in Iraq’s Diyala province, 12 people including three women and two children were killed and 25 got injured in a suicide car bomb attack.
A suicide bomber drove his vehicle loaded with arms and explosive into a crowded checkpoint in Khalis town and set 13 vehicles on fire. The attack damaged many other vehicles and killed 12 people. The official said that death toll could rise as many people were critically injured.
So far no group has claimed the responsibility for this attack but ISIS (Islamic State militant group) has been behind most of the alike suicide attacks in the past.
Before this attack, a suicide Bombing in Baghdad on Sunday by the IS killed 21 people and injured 35.
Since ISIS took control of parts of the Iraq northern and western regions in June 2014, the country has been hit by a wave of violence. 662 Iraqis were killed and 1,457 injured according to estimates by the UN Assistance Mission, in acts of terrorism, armed conflict and violence across the Iraq.
