1. Barack Obama Gave an Emotional Farewell Speech.
US President Barack Obama bids his goodbye to the country with an emotional farewell speech. After two successful years in the office, Obama gave his final goodbye where he talked about foreign policy, climate change, nation’s recovery from the recession and health care. While he talked about the achievements of his administration, he also thanked the Americans for being there with him. President-elect Donald Trump would swear in on 20th January 2017.
2. PM Modi called India as the Fastest Growing major Economy in the World.
At the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2017 in Gandhinagar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called India as the fastest growing major economy in the world. He also said that India has now become the sixth largest manufacturing company in the world and earlier it was at the ninth position. Apart from various development processes about the country, PM Modi inaugurated India’s first international stock exchange in Gujarat.
3. Fellow BSF Jawan’s Troopers said the Food ‘Ok, not Bad’.
Some fellow troopers and former BSF jawans said that the accusation made about the food served in the camp by Constable Tej Bahadur Yadav is wrong. The quality of the food is okay and not too bad as allegedly shown in the video posted by him.
4. At least 30 Killed in Twin Blasts in Kabul, Afghanistan.
As per Public Health Ministry spokesperson Imail Kawasi, at least 30 people are dead and 70 injured in the twin blasts in Kabul that happened on Tuesday evening. The authorities said that the blasts were targeted at the country’s MPs. The responsibility of the blasts has been taken by Taliban.
5. Various Trains and Flights in Delhi are Delayed and Cancelled Because of Fog in the City.
As a sudden fall in the temperature in Delhi, various trains and flights have been delayed and cancelled due to fog. Almost 11 trains were cancelled, 26 arriving late and seven rescheduled from and in Delhi. One international and five domestic flights are also delayed. The recorded temperature in Delhi fell down to 5-degree celsius.
