Ventriloquism has been in existence for the longest time now, and while prior to the Internet, it was a great source of entertainment, it certainly is kinda losing its charm now. Ventriloquism is an act of stagecraft where the person holds a doll, or a dummy, changes their voice so that it appears that the voice is coming from the doll. There are very little successful ventriloquists anymore, who do this for full-time, however, it seems that this is going to change, soon.
A 12-year-old Darci Lynne from Oklahoma City entered America’s Got Talent competition with her pink-haired bunny called Petunia. While many thought that a 12-year-old would have a simple conversation with her doll, like many do, they’re in for a huge surprise. Lynne completely blew the audience as well as the judges away. She sang and my god! She sang her heart out, and that too without even opening her mouth. Lynne’s performance ended with a stand ovation from everyone in the auditorium which brought tears to her, as well as her mum’s eyes.
Darci Lynne and Petunia’s rendition of “Summertime” from Porgy and Bess, left everyone bewildered, Plus, Mel B couldn’t stop herself from giving Lynne the Golden Buzzer which takes her straight to the live shows.

Now, we don’t know if Darci Lynne and Petunia will actually win the America’s Got Talent, but one thing is for sure, they do have a bright future before them.
