Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone maker has launched their Mi5 smartphone in India. The company has launched Mi5 at the price of Rs. 24,999. Xiaomi has brought only a single variant of the smartphone in India so far. This variant was unveiled as the ‘standard edition’ in China. The Xiaomi Mi5 has a lot of interesting features such as LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage.
Xiaomi Mi5 will be available in its first flash sale on Mi.com from April 6, however, a few weeks later it will be available via Xiaomi’s e-commerce.
Xiaomi Mi5 features a 5.15- inch screen in full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) with curved 3D Ceramic glass which has a pixel density of 428 ppi. The phone contains two nano sim slots and has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor joined with Adreno 530 GPU. It also has a 16-megapixel Sony IMX 298 camera with LED flash and phase detection autofocus (PDAF). It also sports sapphire glass protection lens and 4-axis OIS (optical image stabilisation). Xiaomi Mi5 supports up to 4K video recording and its front camera has 4-UltraPixel with 2-micron pixels. Both rear and front cameras feature a f/2.0 aperture.
Mi5 weighs 129 grams and measures 144.5×69.2×7.25mm. It comes with a 3000mAh battery and also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
With all these features Xiaomi Mi5 is a good catch but it’s high price may disappoint potential buyers.
