Moto Z2 Play was recently launched in the US by Lenovo Owned Motorola and this smartphone has been touted to be the best from the company due to several reasons, which we are going to be talking about later.
However, when the Moto Z2 Play was launched, there was a cloud of uncertainty over its availability in India but now Lenovo has announced that Moto Z2 Play will be available for pre-booking in India from 8th June and there are going to be a host of pre-booking offers.
As good as the Moto Z2 Play itself is, the same can be said about the pre-booking offers as it covers everything from protection to Moto Mods, making 8th June one of the most anticipated dates of the month.

For availing the pre-booking offer for the Moto Z2 Play, one has to pay Rs 2000 as the initiation fee and the rest of the amount can be paid over a period of 10 months with zero percent interest. The offer is valid via Bajaj or Homecredit finance services but you can also swipe your card and avail EMIs of 3/6/9/12 months without any interest at select Moto stores, the location of which can be checked through Moto’s retail store locator.
Moreover, Lenovo is offering a Moto Armor pack, included in the pre-booking price, which will come with protective gears for the Moto Z2 Play. The pre-booking offer is also expected to feature Moto Mods but their exact details are still unclear. However, in the US, the pre-booking offer included JBL SoundBoost 2, Moto Style Shells with Wireless Charging, Moto TurboPower Pack and the Moto GamePad, and we expect also expect insta-share projector as well as Hasselblad true zoom mod to come under the package.
Moto Z2 Play Specifications
Smooth metal unibody design, 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 SoC, 3GB/4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD), Adreno 506 GPU. 12MP dual-pixel autofocus rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, dual-LED flash, and a 1.4-micron pixel sensor as well as a 5MP selfie camera with dual-LED CCT flash, f/2.2 aperture, and wide-angle lens.
Moto Z2 Play will also feature Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Moto Display and Moto Actions, 3,000mAh battery with TurboPower, USB Type-C, fingerprint scanner and dual-SIM connectivity.
Moto Z2 Play was launched in the US at $499, roughly Rs. 32,200, and it would be interesting to see that how competitively Lenovo prices the Moto Z2 Play in India, as the likes of OnePlus 5, Nokia 6 and Xiaomi Mi 6 are waiting to be launched soon.
However, with all these specifications as well as the expected pre-booking offers, Moto Z2 Play definitely looks more like an all-rounded smartphone and if Lenovo launches it in India with the right price tag, Moto Z2 Play might also become the VFM leader in the segment.
