Sakshi Malik, if you haven’t heard of her then you certainly have been living under a rock. She is India’s star female wrestler who grabbed Bronze medal in 2016 Rio Olympics. Sakshi and her wrestler boyfriend Satyawart Kadian met in the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgowgot. They both fell in love and after dating each other for two years they got engaged last year on 16 October 2016.

On Sunday, 2nd April 2016, their love story got a happy start as Sakshi entered wedlock with an International wrestler and Commonwealth Silver medalist Satyawart. The wedding took place at Rohtak and had prominent faces from the sports world in attendance. Sushil Kumar, who is a London Olympic silver medallist and champion wrestler, also attended the wedding.
Sakshi took Sports world by storm when she clinched a bronze medal for India in Rio Olympics in the women’s 58kg category. Satyawart Kadian who is an International wrestler himself and has many international medals to his name, is two years younger to Sakshi. Satyawart hails from a family of wrestlers, his father Satyawan, is not only a known wrestler but also runs an Akhada in Rohtak.
Both the family are calling it a Love-cum-arranged marriage and they hope that both these talented sports personalities continue to achieve greater heights in their career and work harder to make their country proud.
Former Cricketer Virender Sehwag who was unable to attend the wedding ceremony took twitter to apologize and wish them a happy married life.
