Faf du Plessis was ruled out of RPS due as he was one of the first players to be injured in the IPL. Now the RPS has announced the replacement for du Plessis. George Bailey is replacing du Plessis in the team in the ongoing season of the IPL.
However, the ruling out of Australian players due to injuries has not been stopped. Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of the 2016 IPL session as he was suffering from pain over his left abdominal area while batting in the training session. Smith too played for Rising Pune Supergiants. Another Australian cricketer bowled out of IPL from RPS was Steve Smith. Australian skipper was ruled out of the ongoing season of IPL as he suffered a wrist injury and cannot play further in the tournament.
But the horror run of injuries has not stopped there it has continued in the Indian Premier League as Shaun Marsh is the latest player to be sent home. Marsh will be the third Australian to be heading home early from the competition following his younger brother Mitchell and Steve Smith. Shaun picked up a back injury during the six wickets loss to Kolkata Knight Riders on April 19. On that clash, he made an unbeaten 56 runs but he has reportedly carried a back niggle ever since.
Shaun Marsh was playing for Kings XI Punjab while RPS had lost four players due to injuries.
Though the replacement for du Plessis has been announced, there is no report on Kevin Pietersen,Mitchell Marsh, and Steve Smith’s replacement.
