The football star Cristiano Ronaldo is out for Real Madrid’s Champions League semi-final as he failed a fitness test for the clash between Real Madrid and Manchester City. The Real Madrid player limped off toward the end of Los Blancos’ win against Villarreal last week in La Liga. After that, he sat out for Saturday’s match against Rayo Vallecano.
A thigh injury put Ronaldo out of the game but the player traveled with the team to Manchester. His travelling led many to believe that he would be fit to play in Tuesday’s contest. Ronaldo looked all set to play after suffering the injury but his fans got disappointed as he was pulled out of the semifinal during the final sessions of Madrid on Monday.
Ronaldo made 10 appearances in this tournament and so far he played spectacularly as he tailed whopping 16 goals and 4 assists till now. Real Madrid will have to put a good game with the help of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema to stay in the league since the Portugal player is out of the game. They will have to help shoulder the load of the team.
With Ronaldo’s unavailability in the team, Real Madrid’s pursuit of their 11th Champions League title will be more difficult. We just hope that Ronaldo’s injury gets better and he returns to score in the finals of La Liga.
