On one hand, we are witnessing some thrilling games in the UEFA Champions League including some of the biggest upsets in the tournament and on the other hand UEFA Europa League is yet to enter the round of 16 but what we saw yesterday was nothing short of a finale performance by Man U.
Manchester United 3-0 St Etienne, the tally alone tells a lot but there is much more to it than the unparalleled lead. Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s performance, since leaving PSG for Manchester United, is getting better and better as he has showed numerous goals on his team. Ibrahimovic’s hat-trick, 21st, 22nd and 23rd, resulted in an impressive debut season in England, which has put United in firm control of this Round of 32 tie, ahead of the second leg in France. This has once again underlined the 35 year-old’s importance Manchester United’s hopes this season, no wonder why Jose Mourinho has stated that it would be a “disaster” to lose the Swede to injury.
Despite St Etienne’s being the favourite and having a big crowd support, their old foe Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his first hat-trick with United and third against St Etienne in this round of 32 game.
He now has 23 goals for United which is easily the best return by any Old Trafford striker since 2012-13 when Robin van Persie registered a Premier League-winning haul.
This was a once in a lifetime performance in UEFA Europa League and Twitteratti didn’t take much time to trigger a flood of appreciation and a troll on Pogba brothers sideshow.

The Pogba brothers tonight. What a duel. The most scintillating performance from a pair of siblings since the Pickard’s lit up Hollyoaks. pic.twitter.com/ZeyEs6CcYn

An absolute sitter from Paul Pogba. His mum immediately turns to his other brother in the crowd and says, "you're my favourite."
Harsh.

Jesse Lingard is on for United. Florentin Pogba spots him and thinks: "That's the bellwhiff that's always hanging round with our Paul."
