Atletico Madrid’s forward Antoine Griezmann claimed the La Liga Player of the season award for 2015-16, on Monday. Griezmann came ahead of the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
This was the eighth time that the award was up for grabs and Lionel Messi has been the man to defeat in this race, as he had claimed the award six times in the past. Now Antoine Griezmann ha become the one to dethrone Lionel Messi and this is an award in itself.
