On Wednesday, Cristiano Ronaldo once again proved why he is the best footballer his team can ever have. The star football player supported his team when it was much needed. Ronaldo’s impeccable goal led Portugal to win over Wales with 2-0 in the semi-final of Euro 2016.
None of the two team scored a goal in the first half but in second half Ronaldo took the matter in his hand and not only he hit one but also assisted in the second. The Portuguese footballer scored a goal for his team in the 50th minute of the game and you can actually watch that goal on loop. The gravity-defying jump of Ronaldo and a pointed header, it was a perfect hit.
Wales was led by Ronaldo’s Real Madrid teammate Gareth Bale and they barely had time to regroup and attack as Portugal struck again with another one. Ronaldo slid a ball into the box and Nani took the advantage of the opportunity as he directed the ball right into the net.
This was Ronaldo’s ninth goal in European Championship play and this goal tied Michel Platini’s record.
