Cristiano Ronaldo has had a marvelous season with netting 42 goals, becoming the first player to score 100 European as well as Champions League goals and taking Real Madrid to a European double after winning the La Liga and the Champions League title, while doing so.
With the next season just around the corner, Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo’s former club, Manchester United are set for a clash on 8th August in the opening game of Super Cup, for which, both teams saved a berth after defeating Ajax and Juventus, respectively.
While Manchester United recorded a comfortable win against Ajax in the Europa League final by 2-1, Cristiano Ronaldo led Real Madrid to a glorious win against Juventus in t6he Champions League final with his double strike.
Whenever Manchester United goes against Real Madrid, the hype always tends to rise due to the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo as he still has a huge number of supporters on the other side and it has remained one of the most anticipated reunions over the years.
However, Cristiano Ronaldo is busy with his national duties as Portugal is competing in the Confederations Cup in Russia after winning the EURO 2016 and after that Cristiano Ronaldo has been given an extended leave to charge up his batteries for the next season.
With the final in Russia set for July 2, Cristiano Ronaldo might not be able to play in the in the Manchester United vs Real Madrid match as his one month leave has been extended further.
Moreover, since Cristiano Ronaldo’s leave has been extended, he is highly unlikely of playing during the whole pre-season fixtures in the United States of America which also includes an El Clasico against Barcelona in Miami.
While this is a much-needed rest for Ronaldo, him missing these clashes might irritate the fans as he was already ruled out for many games due to his injuries, last season. However, things might change and his battery backup might have a full charge before the El Clasico as this is one match we don’t want him to miss.
