The new skipper, Virat Kohli again played a gem of an innings against England in the first ODI and led India to one of the most memorable high score run chases in history. While we witnessed a hell lot of sixes from both the teams, Virat Kohli played a stroke that can easily become the ‘Shot of 2017’.
However, Kohli’s hunger for more is not letting him to relax his muscles as we saw him hitting some awesome sixes during the practice session ahead of the second ODI against England. Virat Kohli coming out of the crease for godly shot is a rare site but it seems like after BCCI made him the full time captain of all three cricketing formats, Kohli is looking to change his game. And We Are Loving It!!
Watch the awe inspiring practice session here:
Virat Kohli is just 28 years old and he already has 27 ODI centuries on his name. When we take his 15 test centuries and three double-tons into consideration, it looks like there is no cricketing record that Virat Kohli cannot break and he is looking forward to make this tour a never forgetting experience for the visitors.
However, England’s problem doesn’t end here. After leaving the limited over captaincy, we thought that MS Dhoni would be able to bring the ‘Helicopter Shot Era’ back but he went for only six runs after coming to bat at No.5 and mistiming a shot that went straight into the hands of Jake Ball.
Due to his never backing down attitude, MS Dhoni was seen practicing some big shots in order to contribute in the batting order which he failed to do in Pune.
Watch the magical shots here:
If everything falls into place, by the end of 2017, we could see Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni competing with each other for the ‘Shot of the Year’.
The thought is already sending chills down my spine!!
