Virender Sehwag, one of the superlative destructive batsmen of all time, has been creating lots of buzz on social media with his humour. He not only has a unique batting style but also has a distinctive way of wishing everyone.
Former Indian cricketer has decided to fight against the corruption in Cricket. On Sunday, Sehwag joined former the former Indian captain, Bishan Singh Bedi and the former Indian cricketer, Kirti Azad to fight against corruption in Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) in a get-together event.
The event received a great boost with the presence of some top cricketers from Delhi, Haryana and Punjab. Sehwag’s appearance was a big boost for the programme set up to fight against corruption in cricket, a senior member of the event’s organising team said.
Sehwag didn’t talk much at the conference on the Supreme Court’s decision on the Lodha Committee report. The organisers said that even Viru’s presence was important and there was a sign that the batsman was eager to get connected.
Sehwag, the only Indian batsman who has scored two triple Test Tons, admired the get-together by giving a bouquet to Bedi and touching his feet in honour. The Indian batsman was praised by Kirti Azad for joining the fight against corruption.
Bedi said “And this ideology is being backed by facts and figures. For this, I salute Kirti and Sameer Bahadur. If they have made some noise in the DDCA and Parliament, it is because of these facts and figures,” while relating to a claimed financial irregularities which are running into crores of rupees.
