Martin Guptill has missed with a poor chance, to break the record or to tie with AB de Villiers fastest 50 in ODI matches. Martin Guptill marked the winning of New Zealand by scoring 93 in 30 balls. He might have broken the record of AB de Villers fastest 100 off 31 balls.
In total, he hit eight sixes along with nine fours, when he had touched 50 in 17 balls with the help of four sixes and five boundaries.
“I am pretty happy with the way things are going (but) I’ll take a 90 not out and the win rather than the fastest 50 and getting out”, that’s what he said during an interview.
Martin Guptill, this time, has missed out to secure the fastest record, however, he did secure the place in lots of cricket’s record book. Even to come close to AB de Villiers record is not a child play.
He did score the SECOND-FASTEST Half-Century in ODI History.
