#DhoniDropped surprisingly became a trend on Social media on Friday and it is said to be initiated by MS Dhoni’s critics who believe that the journey of the most celebrated captain in Indian Cricket should come to end as his time to be the face of the same is also over.
MS Dhoni is one of those Indian cricketers who have divided the whole nation into two parts, one consisting of his die hard fans and the other full of haters. Living a life of a hater, and that too of a personality like MS Dhoni, is not an easy task in India as one has to constantly talk nonsense, which should have a sense to it. Just like nonsense and sense, Dhoni and his retirement are the two words that don’t go down well together.
We accept the fact that the former skipper is not going from his best of forms but how can we forget all the trophies that MS Dhoni has given us, all the hard work that he has put while doing so or how he managed to take Indian cricket to new heights with just a team of youngsters.
He is the only Indian captain to win all ICC trophies and even one of the most successful ones in Indian Premier League. This shifts our focus to the ongoing IPL 2017, where, in his three innings, MS Dhoni has not been able to come back and answer his critics.
Well for once, you need to understand how it feels to be captained by someone after all these years and how it feels to be marked as just another player on your team after what all you have done in the past. It’s not about ego and neither about who plays well, it’s just that we should give MS Dhoni time to adjust to his new on-field innings and three appearances couldn’t reflect the actual potential of a player.
Moreover, the haters who became the haters after Mahendra Singh Dhoni sacked some of the senior players from the team, you need to have a reality check. The players in question, have come out in open and have praised your target on many occasions and that is what sportsmanship is all about. It’s actually really easy to hate someone, so just try to do some hard work.
Coming back to #DhoniDropped, this trend was fired up after some of the bold statements, from former crickets and current legends, were made against MD Dhoni.
Former Australian skipper Michael Clarke said that it’s high time and MS Dhoni must perform if the former Indian skipper wishes to stay in the mix of action.
And then came a statement from another former Indian captain, Sourav Ganguly, who is doubtful MS Dhoni’s credibility in the shortest format of the game. There were some who lashed out after his comments but there were others who stood in the favor of #DhoniDropped.
This is what #DhoniDropped is giving us on Social Media.
I can see,
Something Big is coming from #Dhoni's Bat.Haters please Keep Calm.
He's a class player.

#DhoniDropped perhaps indicates that Dhoni must be dropped. The biggest reason that this hashtag has been initiated is said to be his most probable selection in the Indian Team for the upcoming 2017 Champions Trophy, which India will defend against seven other nations, all because of the man in question himself.
