India vs Bangladesh One Off Test has finally come to an end after a great resistance from the visitors and India now has won the 19th consecutive tests and 20th at home by 208 runs, Virat Kohli breaking Sunil Gavaskar’s record of most consecutive win as a captain, subsequently.
Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin again became the showstoppers from the bowling department by claiming six wickets each in two innings and the rest being done by the fast bowling trio of Ishant Sharma (3), Umesh Yadav (3) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1). This was by far the best team effort from the Indian bowling department, giving Bangladesh a defeat that will haunt them for a long time. However, the resistance shown by Bangladesh squad can also be not ignored as they tried anything to everything in order to take the game towards a draw.
This India vs Bangladesh One Off Test has given the team selectors some relief as Murali Vijay has emerged to be a dependable opener and Virat Kohli continues to be at his prime.
