Brett Lee calls India his second home but looks like an Indian daily took it seriously. An Indian daily called Brett Lee an Indian and looks like Lee has adopted some Sehwag’s twitter skills as he trolled the Indian Media website for it.
Brett Lee is in India now as a mentor for a Tamil Nadu Premier League team and he recently gave an interview to The Hindu where he praised Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli, now Zee News wrote a report about it and in it, they called Lee an Indian.
Here is what they wrote in their article:
Well, the Australian cricketer was amused by this mistake and he immediately took twitter to share his amusement. Though his tweet was very humble but Zeenews must have felt embarrassed as he pointed out this mistake wasting no time.
Indian paper🙏🏻
"Former Indian speedster Brett Lee has rated Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli as the best cricketer in the world at the moment— Brett Lee (@BrettLee_58) September 4, 2016
As soon as he tweeted about this, his fans went crazy and started retweeting about Lee’s tweet. Some tweets of the fans are so hilarious that you will laugh rolling on the floor. One of them pointed out that earlier an Indian Newspaper termed an Australian cricketer’s name to be Sunny Leone.

Although from his next tweet you can make out that he seem to be enjoying being an Indian as he said that he wants to open India’s bowling attack with the new ball.
I'm taking it as a compliment ! Ha!
Happy to take the new ball for India in 4 years time 😉😂😂😂🏏— Brett Lee (@BrettLee_58) September 4, 2016
Among others, there was one fan who reminded him that Lee once said that India is his second home and may be the newspaper took it seriously.
You consider India as your second home and probably they took it seriously
