Ab de Villiers‘ innings in the fifth ODI left everyone thunderstruck and so is the win of South Africa. South Africa defeated England by five wickets in the fifth ODI match, played in Cape Town. It may sound effortless but SA lost its first 3 wickets to Reece Topley in just 9 deliveries and England’s spinners gave their best shot to buckle the competing team under the pressure of chasing their target. But Captain De Villiers overhauled the situation with an enthralling innings of unbeaten 101. The class of de Villiers played his 200th ODI and made a 24th sparkling century of his career.

AB de Villiers has been a bit off his game in the last few matches but in the fifth and final game, he led his team to the victory with his composure and extravagant attack. He played patiently waiting for a poor ball to hit and for that he played a few dot balls as well.

Ab de Villiers stole the victory for South Africa from England. England spluttered to 236 all out in 45 overs and South Africa slumped to 22-3 but after that, the South African Captain played a reckless innings and smashed an unbeaten 101 in 94 balls. In his magnificent innings, he smashed 11 boundaries and one six. David Wiese (41*) was on the other end as de Villiers and Wiese reached their target with 36 balls left. It was a splendid victory of South Africa over England, an amazing 3-2 series win.
