The love for a hot beverage continues to stay divided or polarised between tea and coffee. Those who relish a strong caffeine shot early in the day will never leave their homes without a hot cup of coffee. That’s regardless of it being milk-based or black coffee. But it, of course, makes things a lot better if it’s a frothy cup of cappuccino in there. And those who like even simpler things will always swear by a cup of tea.
It is an early morning ritual of sorts. But ever wondered about black tea? Yes, the very instance of having tea, without two of the most common ingredients- milk and sugar?
What might be the benefits of having some black tea, one wonders? Because, all over the world, people are largely giving into the habit of consuming dark tea. And when it’s not the conventional form of milk tea, we commonly hear about green tea.
But while a lot is known about green tea and the myriad benefits it has, what about black tea? Just how good is it? Could there be, for instance, any benefits with regards to skin-support and, hair strength and so on and so forth?
Time to tap into the advantages of having some black tea.
Black Tea for dandruff and other hair infections
Try having some black tea along with tulsi to sort out your messy dandruff problems. All you got to do is to pour about 5 tablespoons of black tea with 5 tulsi leaves and boil them together. You could also add some freshly squeezed lemon juice. Adding this to your mix will help you to deal with dandruff and hair infection problems. Aren’t these a constant irritant anyway?
Try some Black Tea with herbs
You would need some oregano leaves and some rosemary leaves. Take at least two of them apiece. Take your boiler and place these in it. Along with it, pour about seven black tea bags and then, boil them together. Apply the mixture to your hair and let it stay there for at least 1-2 hours. Then, wash your hair with normal water but minus the shampoo. You would find that it will help in turning your hair black.
Try Black-Tea re-rinse
This may actually sound a bit daft. You normally rinse your hair with hot, lukewarm or normal cold water- don’t you? So what if you were to rinse it with black tea? Would that make things change a little too drastically? Now, what if that was for good hair health- you wouldn’t exactly mind doing so or would you?
But first, prepare some strong black tea. Now that take next to the sink or your washroom. Turn your head upside down and simply rinse your hair with this black tea. Continue for a few minutes. Let the liquid stay there for around 20 minutes. Repeat the black tea rinse for about 2-3 times. Wondering what this might do? This practice is known to give one rich black dark colour.
Coffee and tea for rich black hair
Hair whitening. It’s a problem we all face and it’s a bit of a crisis that doesn’t reflect well on the hair’s growth. A natural process that is indeed hard to reverse, hair whitening can be slowed down. Wondering how? You would need brewed ground coffee beans or instant coffee granules. This can temporarily stain your hair to dark brown and for good results- you can mix coffee with tea.
But how to go about the process? All you need to do is boil three black tea bags into three cups of water. Now, just add three tablespoons of instant coffee to the mixture. Continue to boil this mix for at least 5 minutes. Once, it’s cooled down, apply the same mixture to your hair using a brush. Let the liquid sit on the scalp for an hour at least. And then, proceed to rinse it normally. This will result into rich darker hair.
