This Makeup Artist Is Just Changing The Makeup Game For Everyone

Those days are gone when people used to just use makeup in order to cover marks on their face and give it a much more finished touch, now makeup is transformed into something very big.

There are tonnes of people out there who have transformed makeup into an art form. People are using their skills of makeup and are transforming their faces into canvases which can behold tonne of talent. From turning themselves into landscapes, to completely transforming themselves into famous artwork by some of the greatest artists of all time.

However, today, we wanted to make you see something larger than all of this. Vanessa Davis is a professional makeup artist and mixed media face-artist, and God she is amazing at what she does. Her talent has already gathered a lot of attention, along with 244k followers on her Instagram. Davis puts up images of her work on her Instagram which is nothing short of her personal gallery where every image belongs to a great exhibition of the artist.

Opulent Punk Skull ☠️✨ I’ve been wanting to do something with studs & Swarovski crystals! A detailed list of the products used will follow in the set by step by step picture I will post soon. This was fun if not laborious. My plan was to do a simple studded skull, of course I can’t resist turning something into a big look! I used Urban decay on the eyes, and MAC on the rest of the face. The embellishments were all bought quite cheaply on eBay and were stuck down using a prosthetic glue called Aquafix which is water based but very strong. Brian Viveros Rose Skull Makeup @viveros_brand I’ve been obsessing over Brian Viveros’ work for a while now and wanted to turn one of his paintings into a makeup. It was extremely challenging! I didn’t realise how hard it was to transform into a stylised artwork. For the Skull ☠️ I applied a bald cap. Then I painted it used @kryolanofficial Aqua Colours in various shades of cream, green, ochre, yellow, sienna, brown and red. I outlined the skull using @maccosmetics @maccosmeticsuk Penultimate eyeliner in Bkack. For the eyes I used Pigments in ‘Blue Brown’ ‘Dark Soul’ and Chromaline Pencil on ‘Black Black’ Eyebrows using Penultimate liner and the upper lashes from @blackmagiclashes and the lower lashes from @maccosmeticsuk @maccosmetics. The lips were a combination of @maccosmeticsuk in ‘MAC Red’ & ‘Lady Danger’ highlighted using @wolfefaceartfx white and shaded with brown. Zombie Girl Skull Makeup ☠️ This makeup was inspired by the biggest skullatron of all: the man himself ZOMBIE BOY! @zombieboyofficial I love looking at his face and I was in the mood for pink today to uplift my spirits after some hefty world events yesterday so what do you get when you put the two together? Relm Skull This makeup was inspired and dedicated to one of my favourite artists @relmxx Go check out her page, her paintings are breathtaking. The 3D aspect of this design was challenging to recreate. Relm’s painting appears to look more like lacy petals whereas mine ended up looking like mandala style pearly petals. I used cardboard with bald cap plastic stuck over the top, blended the edges into my skin and then painted over the top of the shapes and adhered pearls. The makeup I used was all @maccosmetics Blue Petals: Acrylic Paint in ‘Marine Ultra’, ‘Hi-Def Cyan’ (mixed with Pure White), & ‘Pure White’ Face: Studio Tech NW20/NW23 stippled on using their latex wedges. Sequin Skull I have mixed feelings about glitter. After working on an opera which involved weeks of silver body glitter which looked incredible on stage, for months afterward, I found it in my shoes, my handbag and even in my iphone case! But, I adore sequins especially large ones. I suppose you could call them super sized glitter!
