American politics and elections have been no less of a reality show, where the candidates say the most absurd things. They have campaigned for this position for almost a year, and the time is almost here when the results would be announced, and America would get their 45th President.
The votes are being cast as of now, and the world is wondering about their country’s relation with the new President. Is it going to be the first female President Or some candidate with a lot of money?
We can’t judge them anymore on what they said and what they promised. The time is here to acknowledge, what they’re going to bring to the table, for their own country as well as, for India too.
As Hillary Rodham Clinton has much stronger chances of stepping into the White House, we would be talking about her needs and deeds with our country. India has had much better relations with Republicans in terms of trade, immigration and security. However, the entire world knows about Modi and Obama’s friendship, and Hillary might follow the same path (which in the end would be good for our country).
Hillary has stated that she would be strict on terrorism and ISIS in general, but as per the reports, Clinton foundation receives donations from the major Islamic States like Qatar and Saudi Arabia. These same countries, don’t shy away from backing terrorist groups, which means that she might not be able to do a lot on the anti-terror programme. This is going to affect us directly, as we are also suffering from initial stages of ISIS in our country.
In terms of foreign policy, Clinton would be a much better choice because of her calmness while dealings with international issues, which are raging day-after-day and are more sensitive than ever. She also has a very clear and unbiased approach towards immigration from all-over-the-world, and this too is going to be beneficial for us. She also considers that immigration is good for America in general, because at the end of the day, it is expanding their economy.
On the other hand, Hillary Clinton is not on good terms with Russia and its President (Vladimir Putin), but Russia has been a major arms dealer to India, and all of this can get a bit messy for our country.
Apart from all of this, Hillary Clinton has had a good relationship with our country while being the first lady and even while functioning as Secretary of State.
The result would be here within a day, and if Hillary Clinton won and takes the seat of America’s President, it would have both positive and negative effects on India.
