At a Christian Colony near Warsak Dam on the outskirts of Peshawar in Pakistan, Four terrorists have been killed in exchanged fire with security forces on early Friday morning. The area has been cordoned off and the civilian casualties in the attacked area are still unclear.
The firing began at 6 am on Friday morning between the gunmen wearing suicide west and security forces. Pakistan’s Army spokesman Lt. General Asim Bajwa stated in a tweet that the security forces and the authorities responded to the attack immediately.

An eyewitness claimed that the sound of explosions was heard in the attacked area. A helicopter was also spotted conducting aerial surveillance of the area. Additional contingents of security forces including Frontier Corps, Police and Pakistan Army commandos have been sent to the area and an operation is ongoing.
The Peshawar Christian Colony lies near the Warsak Dam and the Pak-Afghan border. More details regarding the attack are awaited.
In August, around 74 people were killed in which most of the people were lawyers. It was the Pakistan’s worst bombing in 2016 in Quetta, Balochistan. The bombing was claimed by the Middle East-based Islamic State as well as the Pakistani Taliban, Jamaat-ur-Ahrar.
