If there is any Minister, besides PM Modi, from the current government who has been an absolute favourite of social media, then it has to be External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. She has time and again proved that social media has a great influence on the people in this day and age. She can be reached and has reached many through her amazing Twitter account which has helped a lot of people.
Apart from helping people, she has also been protecting our nation’s pride. Recently an Indian man tweeted to Swaraj about the selling of Indian Flag doormats on Amazon Canada’s website. She immediately took notice of it and tweeted to Amazon Canada about the withdrawal of Indian flag doormats from the website along with an apology or else any Amazon official’s Visa to India would not be granted in the future. The company pulled down products with Indian flag on them, from the website. However, an apology is not yet confirmed to be received.
Indian High Commission in Canada : This is unacceptable. Please take this up with Amazon at the highest level. https://t.co/L4yI3gLk3h

Amazon must tender unconditional apology. They must withdraw all products insulting our national flag immediately. /1

If this is not done forthwith, we will not grant Indian Visa to any Amazon official. We will also rescind the Visas issued earlier.

Many are praising the External Affairs Minister for her bold move and thanking her for taking the matters into her hands. However, some are also saying that she could have simply notified the website rather than going all out with threatening them.
