This is the second time the militants have tried to breach the Indian Border as one such attack was done at Uri army base on 18th September, which killed 19 Indian soldiers. On 2nd October, the militants attacked again at the Baramulla district of Northern Kashmir, killing one Armed forces jawan.
In a reply to these attacks, the Indian Army carried out a Surgical Strike on 28th September at seven militant bases in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). Pakistani troops have initiated unprovoked firing at LOC in frequent intervals almost every day.
India holds Pakistan responsible for these attacks and has warned them on various occasions for supporting these militant groups. These frequent on border fights have broken all the diplomatic ties between the two countries and has increased tensions between the army of both nations.
