Jammu & Kashmir saw another gunfight in Poonch district on Monday. On Sunday, four people were killed in Poonch and today the gunfight started again from the under construction mini secretariat building.

An official reported that the building and adjacent areas are surrounded and the exchange of firing between the security forces and some surviving militants is still happening.
The victims comprised a policeman and three militants, while 5 others including a civilian, three soldiers, and a police official were injured in this gun fight.
As the chaos in Jammu and Kashmir continues, Kashmir remained shut for the 66th consecutive day. Authorities are deploying security personnel in Srinagar and other places to maintain the law and order.
The restrictions have been imposed in Shopian, Pulwama, Kulgam and Anantnag districts.
Despite Eid celebrations on Tuesday, Kashmir will remain shut and the two most sought after food items mutton and bakery will remain unavailable to the people of the valley on Eid.
Main markets, public transport, educational institutions and other businesses are also suspended.
In the ongoing unrest that started in Kashmir on 9 July, 80 people have died and 11,500 have been injured.
