Cab services like Uber and Ola have been a life saviour in so many ways. It saves time, patience level (that one might often lose while travelling in public transport) and even money in a majority of instances while being available at all times. These, along with various other reasons are behind the towering success of cab services in the country.
So many people are booking cabs in order to reach the places they wish to be at, and in one of those was Prashant Shahi who was trying to book a cab through Ola. In an attempt to book a cab he ended up booking a destination that was around 5,000km away from India.

Yes, Shahi ended up booking a cab from his destination in Bangalore to South Pyongyang in North Korea, and the trip would cost him over 1 lakh. Now, things like these don’t often happen to one, which is why the best thing to do in such situations is to take a screenshot and upload it to Twitter. Shahi did the same and soon his tweet went viral, along with a lot of people baffling over it.
Soon, even others tried to do the same, because, Internet, and they’re too able to do the same. While some booked trips for North Korea, others decided to get bit creative and booked trips to Canada and even to the Great Wall of China. Interestingly, the service doesn’t just book a cab on the app, but even a driver is almost instantly sent for the ride. Check out some of these tweets.

Someone went ahead and officially asked Ola to look into the matter as to why it’s happening. To this, Ola responded that this is a technical glitch and one should restart their phone to solve the problem.
How is this possible @Olacabs a trip to North Korea?
Please check your systems.#Ola pic.twitter.com/wi92DObwGp— Rohit Menda (@itsrohitmenda) March 17, 2018
This seems to be a technical glitch. Please restart the phone and try again.

It's happening to all phones @Olacabs. I think you need to fix your system. Not our phones 🙂

We have forwarded this to the relevant team to further look into this. We strive to serve you better.

Now, we don’t know if one could actually reach these destinations through Ola or not, but we definitely love to see someone actually trying it.
