1. Chinese Troops Transgress Sikkim Sector.
Another transgressing took place today when Chinese Troops entered India in the Sikkim sector and jolted with Indian Army personnel. These personnels was guarding the Sino-India frontier. As reported by Times Of India, two bunkers of the Indian Army have been destroyed in Lalten of the Doka La area, where the face-off has constantly been going on for the last 10 days. The Chinese Troops have also stopped a batch of pilgrims who were proceeding on Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Even though the Indian troops had to struggle really hard in order to stop the Chinese Troops, they finally did it by forming a human chain along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The photographs of this transgression have been captured by the Indian personnels.
2. Indrani Mukherjee Booked For Rioting In Byculla Jail.
Indrani Mukherjee, Former HR consultant and media entrepreneur, who has been booked for murdering her own daughter Sheena Bora, has again been booked for rioting in Mumbai’s Byculla Jail. A group of inmates has been booked under this rioting case which came after a 31-year-old inmate was allegedly thrashed by the police and succumbed to her injuries. A FIR against six prisoners and a jailor, including Indrani Mukherjee, has been filed now.
3. Arun Jaitley Persisted Mehbooba Mufti To Implement GST From 1st July.
Arun Jaitley today wrote a letter to Mehbooba Mufti in which he urged the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to introduce the Goods and Services Tax (GST) in the state from 1st July. Jaitley added that any delay in the implementation would create a disadvantage for both the consumers and the industry in the state. Till now, every state in the country has passed the GST bill in their respective Assemblies, except the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly. Jaitley also briefly explained the adverse impact that the state would have to face on account of not introducing the GST as the prices would increase in the state of all goods being purchased from other states and also increase in the price of all goods being sold to other states.
4. MP: Municipal Commissioner Arrested For Taking Bribe.
On Monday, Surendra Kathuria, the Satna Municipal Commissioner, was arrested by the Lokayukta while he was accepting Rs 12 Lakh in cash and Gold worth Rs 10 Lakh as an installment of bribe. This, more like a sting operation was conducted on a complaint filed by the Nursing Home Owner. He told Lokayukta that Kathuria had demanded Rs 50 Lakh for not demolishing the encroachment. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Rewa Lokayukta, Devesh Pandey said, “Action was taken on the complaint of Nursing Home Operator Dr. Rajkumar Aggarwal who complained that Kathuria had demanded cash worth Rs. 40 lakh and gold worth Rs. 10 lakh for not demolishing the encroachment from his nursing home. We caught Kathuria red-handed while taking Rs. 12 lakh in cash and gold worth Rs 10 lakh as the first instalment of the bribe.”
5. BCCI To Form A Committee To Implement Lodha Reforms.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Monday, took a very unexpected move and decided to form a committee to implement Lodha reforms, all across the Board. The new development has been confirmed at the end of the Special General Meeting by the acting BCCI Secretary Amitabh Chaudhary. “The Board of Control for Cricket in India will form a committee to ensure the principal order of Supreme Court can be implemented at the earliest,” Choudhary said speaking to the media after the meeting.“A five-six member committee will be formed tomorrow (Tuesday) to see how best and quickly the principal order of the Supreme Court can be implemented,” he added.
