Mumbai is known for its heavy monsoon and downpour to bring the entire city to a standstill and the same happened today morning when monsoon really hit Mumbai for the first time this season. While some were cheerful about it, considering they would finally be able to skip from work and enjoy the rain from the comfort of their homes, others had to go through the dreadful standstill Mumbai offers during monsoon.
Anyone who has seen Mumbai rain in reality and actually experienced would resonate with the fact that though Mumbai is not totally ready for Monsoons, the people of Mumbai are. They know how to live with it and go through it without really breaking a sweat because this is exactly what happens every year.
But today was crazier than ordinary crazy. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that the city will continue to host heavy to very heavy rains, thus suggesting little respite to the ones who have been suffering as a result.
However, this doesn’t budge the Mumbaiites and their ability to cope up with it, with a smile on their faces and some hilarious jokes on their Twitter. Here are the results.

Some are tensed because of how unequipped the BMC is for handling situations as adverse as these Mumbai rains, while others are adoring it. But in the end, everyone is happy for the escape these rains have provided from the heat they were facing a few weeks ago.
