Ayn Rand (one of the most famous philosophers of the last century) said, “Love is our response to our highest values.” Ain’t it instant coffee? Doesn’t one get charmed by the whole notion of Love? And over time I have realized, ‘Love itself is the highest value.’
Love as a concept is inherent to humans. It is an integral cog in the overall societal machinery. A simple act of Love is just so cathartic. A Loving being is such an asset. And the beauty about it is, Love trickles down. Love multiplies. Love is infectious. Love if practiced diligently serves as a pillar of strength. Love offers itself to be a robust fallback option. The amazing quarters you get the Love in return is simply a treat. Yes, Love begets more Love.
Love usually returns. It’s generous. Initiation is the key.
Expectation is core to being. And Love is no exception. When we Love, subconsciously, we expect to be reciprocated. But at times forget receiving, we get snubbed. And it’s no fault of a particular person. Our moods vary, our circumstances differ. And we are mired with a billion things. And usually, it results in a mismatch between what we hunch and what we get. And that’s why unconditional Love is the icing on the cake. It encourages you to spread warmth consistently and without the pitfalls of getting hurt.
A person forever generous will cultivate calm, composure, consistency, and certitude. The route to modern sainthood or for that matter eternal sainthood goes via Love.We can’t drive out darkness with more darkness. Only light can. Similarly, Love is needed to negate the hate.
“Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.” famously said, William Shakespeare. It’s cliche but at the same time is a quintessential lie hack.
Love makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. But ain’t that the crazy thing about it? When you Love someone it gives you courage. You are emboldened by the very idea of it. And you regularly push the envelope in other areas as well. It works like glue in binding you to the core and at the same time makes you tensile enough to try out newer things.
Life is what happens to you and what you make out of it. It is about your response. No matter what, you’re going to mess up sometimes, it’s a universal truth. But the good part in being so ever full of Love is you get to decide how you’re going to mess it up. There is never an ideal time or place for the Love clock to tick. It happens and happens in a flash, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment. The trick then lies in conditioning oneself to be more frequent with it. To launch it regularly with all the compassion inside. When the happiness of people around us is essential to our own, that, my dearies, is Love.
A Lover need not be special. A common man with common thoughts and common life can scale greater heights just with his generosity and Love-making with those around him. The way we can’t see the wind but feel is much akin to Love. We feel it instantly and strikingly.
Oftentimes, Love recedes. And it diminishes as we aren’t aware of how to replenish its source. And the Source is our soul. A heart full of compassion. And a mind always in the present.
We’re all a little crazy. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose quirk is compatible with ours, we jump up. People call it Love. But it’s more than that. It’s a bond. An understanding. A pledge. And what is Love if it is not kissing up the vulnerability? Love comforts. It reassures us. It’s a potent tool to launch one into an ever uncertain realm. It’s never going to be easy. It is going to be really hard. It can challenge us beyond our limits. But the pain, the wait, and the whole ordeal are totally worth a go.
A man in Love strives for betterment. And when he is in the game day in day out, everything around becomes better as well.Love is irrational. There doesn’t have to be a reason to Love someone. It happens and it should happen on auto-pilot. Love is needing someone. Love is putting up with someone’s bad qualities because they somehow complete you. A Lover is patient. A Lover has compassion. A Lover delights with small things in life. He rejoices sharing. And a Lover keeps no record of wrongs.

Despite the constant evolution, society has not been able to make it easy to Love. People are as skeptical of Love as they are of rejection. (Thappad se nahi, pyaar se dar lagta hai). But all the pain, all the struggle, all the rejections that we encounter in our journey to be ever so full of Love, make it a compelling case. If the end goal is sorted, pain is worth the gain. The human heart is an amazing thing. Alongside, pumping blood round the clock, its capacity to hold things is immeasurable. It is our biggest ally in the quest for universal harmony and meaningful life.
Yes, we are capable of spreading warmth. The more love-filled we are, the better everything becomes. Yes, sometimes it’s not reciprocated. But can we let that retaliate with anger, hate? The hardest thing in life is to be ever so full of love. But then it’s also the best.
A humble greeting towards the security guards, a little generosity towards the office boys, a little tip to the waiters and drivers; it all adds up.
Be frugal in expenses, be extravagant in love. Once a habit, you will be amazed at the surprise quarters you will get the LOVE in return from.
