“Mohenjo Daro” – Our textbooks were embedded with the word like a hard code. Whether we remember the whole history about it or not but no one can wipe the name “Mohenjo Daro” from our mind. Veteran director Ashutosh Gowariker decided to step up and make the film on it and the first trailer of the movie is here. The maker who gave us characters like Bhuvan and Mohan Bhargava is all set to introduce us to one of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization.

The character of Hrithik Roshan as Sarman who is an indigo farmer is the nucleus of the movie. He looks fit than ever and dusky in the movie. The fights, stunts and huge sets will take you back on time. Though the character of Pooja Hegde is not quite clear in the trailer, may be the makers want us to find out about it after watching the movie but the romance between Hrithik and Pooja will make you reminisce about the forgotten era. Kabir Bedi is playing a badass villain Maham and he looks like an Evil priest of that time.

Though the teaser was a bit too long and scared us as Ashutosh has a reputation for making never ending movies but the trailer is short, crisp yet less informative.

The sets of the movie are almost identical to Jodha Akhbar and other periodic movies but the most surprising fact is that we couldn’t recognise the composition of the music maestro A.R. Rahman. It is possible that the famous musician has decided to keep the good music later for the movie but our ear missed the feel of his music. The movie is star-studded with Hrithik Roshan, Pooja Hegde, Kabir Bedi, Arunoday Singh, Suhasini Mulay, Nitish Bharadwaj, Kishori Shahane, Sharad Kelkar, Manish Choudhary, Narendra Jha, Piyush Mishra, Casey Frank and Diganta Hazarika.

Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker the movie is slated to release on 12 August 2016.
