It first came way back in the late 80s, a time when there were hardly any superhero movies, there was no interplay of pixilated high-octane graphics and groundbreaking background score. And yet, the Bill and Ted series made a massive impact on the collective imagination of the movie-goers.
Now, well over three decades from that time as Keanu Reeves readies himself to feature in the third installment of the Bill and Ted series, one can’t help but express quizzical looks on what can only be described as a truly unrecognizable look for the famous actor.
As if 2019 hadn’t already been a hectic year for everyone’s favorite Keanu Reeves, with back-to-back releases including John Wick 3 and Destination Wedding hitting movie screens in quick succession, it seems the actor has readied himself to get immersed in a new interesting body of work.
It’s not gun-slinging action. It’s not avenging the demise of a cute homely dog either. And nor is his next about landing at a wedding ceremony only to be disgruntled with the bride and the groom, and those in attendance.
Keanu is back to the mantle of the famous 80s comic hit. And this time he’s sporting a massive beard, as in, a grizzly of a beard for the lack of a better expression and really curly mullet along with it.
It appears that the third movie from the famous eighties ensemble will be hitting the movie screens, not before 2020, in the month of August. In fact, the exact movie release date has already been announced. The new film, titled Bill and Ted Face The Music hits movie screens worldwide on August 21, 2020.
Keanu Reeves was seen in a series of images from the film’s set that saw him in a rather weird albeit uncanny avatar. Never before have we seen Keanu Reeves in a long-sleeve crop top- or have we?
That being said, one can only expect a mega-hit pairing in the third flick from the Bill and Ted franchise as the Canadian actor is all set to unite with his good friend and costar Alex Winter for the unreleased comedy.
Meanwhile, more on Keanu’s look. It is believed that the Lebanon-born actor was seen sporting a wig, which perhaps made his overall appearance weirder than usual.
It was in 1989, when the first part of the Bill and Ted movie franchise- Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure was released. Later, around two years down the line, Keanu and Winter teamed up again for Bill& Ted’s Bogus Journey.
Chris Mathson and Ed Solomon co-wrote the third film, currently under production. When the announcement of the third part was recently made, Keanu and Alex Winter were seen thanking the support of the fans and shared that playing the dim-witted duo on the screen was one of their funniest experiences on the big screen.
That told, what can the two do when Bill and Ted Face The Music?
