Tuesday evening was indeed a special night for various biggies of the tinsel town, it was the night of Zee Cine Awards 2018. Various stars came together to celebrate their existence and their work done in 2017. While some received awards for their work, others swooped some in a bunch of made-up categories and then there were those who danced their way into the awards.
However, whatever it may be, Zine Cine Awards 2018 still look amazing with a great turn out to support it.
The award night was hosted by Sunil Grover and Rohit Shetty. This might be one big reason behind Golmaal Again’s win in the Best Film category, which is baffling, to be honest. Best Director was won by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari for Bareilly Ki Barfi while the Best Actor (Male) was won by Varun Dhawan for Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
Sridevi won the Best Actor (Female) for her movie Mom. Apart from these awards, there was a Viewer’s Choice category that too failed in appreciating the good that came this year.
Then there were a bunch of made-up categories whose sole purpose is to satisfy the award cravings of big stars. Legend Extraordinary Award was given to Amitabh Bachchan, a Special Honour to Shahrukh Khan for contribution to Cinema and TV over the last 25 years and Priyanka Chopra took home the Global Icon Extraordinaire Award for simply existing in Hollywood.
