Akshay Kumar has been associated with the new tide of patriotism that has been rising in India, in fact, he has become the celebrity face who can be seen doing movies on the subject of Army and other armed forces of India, every now and then. The popular actor not only do patriotic films but he has the greatest respect for Army.
On Tuesday Akshay visited the BSF base camp in Jammu and paid tribute to soldiers who have died in ceasefire violations and encounter. He addressed Army men at the venue and drowning in emotion the actor said that he feels fortunate that he got the opportunity to come and meet all those Army men. Akshay said that he is the reel hero but Indian Army is the real hero.

Not only Akshay holds high esteem for Indian Army but his father who was also an army man admires Indian Armed Forces. Earlier Akshay had donated Rs 80 lakh to the army and Rs 9 lakh to the family of a martyred BSF jawan. During the time of his last released movie Rustom, he expressed his wish to serve the nation but we all know that destiny landed him in the entertainment industry and it seems that he is fulfilling his dreams through his movies.
