The Bechdel Test sometimes called the Mo Movie Measure or Bechdel Rule is a simple test which names the following three criteria: (1) it has to have at least two women in it, who (2) who talk to each other, about (3) something besides a man.
Anyone can tell that the par for Bechdel is too low, however, Bollywood still failed too miserably at it.
The top 10 highest grosser of 2017 were: Raaes, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Baadshaho, Kaabil, Jolly LLB 2, Baahubali 2, Tubelight, Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Golmaal Again, Judwaa 2. Now, out of these 10 movies, 7 fail the Bechdel test.

It’s a shameful result if anything else. This just makes one believe how less important female characters are for the makers of Bollywood movies.
With 2018’s arrival nearby, one can just wish for some good movies with great and strong female characters that not only remarkable pass on the Bechdel test but also turn to inspire young kids watching them. After all, there’s more to a woman’s life than simply talking about the man in their lives.
